COVID-19

In response to COVID-19, we have established new safety protocols to ensure the wellbeing of our students and staff. Find more info at the links below or contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

WHICH CLASS IS RIGHT FOR ME?
  • If you have never been a student with All About My Dog before but you would like to take any of our advanced or specialty classes, we invite you to a free Class Placement Evaluation.
  • You don’t need an evaluation if you have a puppy, an older puppy, an adult dog or a dog with behavior problems.
  • See our Which Class is Right For Me? page for more details on how to pick the right class for you and your dog.
TROUBLE SIGNING UP FOR CLASS
You can sign up for class by visiting our calendar. Find the class you want to take and click the associated SIGN UP button.

If you receive an error message or run into any trouble during sign-up, it’s likely the result of your browser’s cookies being disabled. Our scheduling software requires that you have cookies enabled in order to sign up for class. This common error message usually indicates that your cookies are disabled:

The change you wanted was rejected.
Maybe you tried to change something you didn’t have access to.

Please enable your browser’s cookies and try again. If you continue to get an error, clearing your cache can also help. (Even if cookies are enabled, one might be corrupt or incorrectly cached.) Here are helpful resources for enabling your cookies and clearing your cache.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS CLASS?
  • Every class we teach is filled with important information and our curriculum is designed to help you achieve success step by step. Depending on your class, missing one session could set you back or leave you missing a piece of important information that will be needed later.
  • If you do have to miss a class and would like to stay on track, we strongly recommend a private training session. We offer these 30-minute make-up sessions at a 15% discount because we want to help you succeed! Please e-mail your instructor to schedule yours or use our online contact form to get in touch.
  • Sorry, we do not offer drop-in classes as “make-ups.”
  • No refunds will be given for classes that cannot be attended due to inadequate or missing medical/fecal records. (See our medical guidelines.)
CANCELLATION POLICY & REFUNDS
  • If we receive your cancellation 48 hours or more in advance of your wellness appointment, private lesson, house call, or group class start date by email at barkback@allaboutmydog.com you will receive a refund in full.
  • Cancellations received less than 48 hours in advance of your wellness visit, private lesson, house call, or group class start date will not receive a refund.
  • In the case of a weather cancellation, a sick instructor, or anything else that is within AAMD’s control: we will notify you via your account e-mail. You will either receive an account credit and the event/class/appointment will be rescheduled.
  • Please refer to our Terms & Conditions page for more information.
  • No refunds will be given for classes that cannot be attended due to inadequate or missing medical/fecal records. (See our medical guidelines.)
MEDICAL LEAVE

Positive for Giardia or other parasites

If your dog tests positive for giardia or other parasites, please alert All About My Dog immediately. Any dog that tests positive will be immediately placed on medical leave and may be eligible for class credits. Dogs who have tested positive for parasites may not begin or return to class until a new, negative fecal test is submitted. Please follow your vet’s prescribed treatment (usually 2 weeks), then request a new fecal test for confirmation. Email the results to medical@allaboutmydog.com or submit them using the form on our Required Medical Records page. Once we verify the results, you can resume classes. Contact your trainer to ensure your dog gets placed on the appropriate roster.

Other medical issues

Let us know if your dog is ill or injured and your vet has recommended limited activity or no contact with other dogs. If your dog is enrolled in a class, they will be placed on medical leave. In most cases, you’ll receive class credits that can be used once your vet clears your dog for activity. Be sure to contact your trainer to arrange your return to class.

VACCINATIONS, MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS, & YOUR DOG’S HEALTH

We require that all students must provide up-to-date medical records prior to their first visit. Records must include a negative fecal report stating “No Parasites Seen.” Learn more about our Required Medical Records.

  • For puppies (7 months and under) we require: Clear fecal test dated within last 3 months and current on vaccinations.
  • For adult dogs (over 7 months) we require: Clear fecal test dated within the last 12 months and current on vaccinations.
  • For dogs of any age coming to a private lesson: Clear fecal test dated within the last 12 months and current on vaccinations.
  • Always follow the recommendations of your veterinarian. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions page for more information.
“DROP-IN” CLASSES
  • Drop-in classes are only allowed for the Advanced level classes. Please email the instructor to request permission for a drop-in.
CHILDREN, FAMILY MEMBERS & GUESTS
  • Only one handler per dog on the floor at a time, please! All other family members need to observe quietly from the benches.
  • Guests and prospective students are also welcome to come and observe quietly from the benches.
MULTI-DOG HOUSEHOLDS
  • In Group Classes, one handler may bring only one dog to class. If you have a multi-dog family we invite all of you to come – but with one human family member per dog.
  • In order to track your dogs’ progress and to ensure proper scheduling, each dog must be registered separately. (You can register your dogs under a single email address, but each must have their own password.)
  • More than one dog may come to a private lesson with the instructor’s permission. Please contact us for details.
FEMALE DOGS IN SEASON (HEAT)
  • Female dogs who are in season are welcome to class but they must be wearing doggie britches.
